🦔🤎Another day and another fatally injured hedgehog!
😢This injury was one of the most horrific we have seen, we had to blur out the injury because it is too graphic. The whole right side of the hedgehogs face has been cut off by a strimmer, you can see through the poor hedgehogs skull where the eye should be.
😢Needless to say this poor hedgehog did not make it.
🥺In the last few weeks we have admitted over 25 injured hedgehogs suspected to be caused by strimmers or garden equipment. Sadly, so far only 4 have survived their injuries. A shocking statistic.
👉Every year we remind people of this important message but we still are faced with horrible injuries like this. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Check before using sharp garden equipment such a strimmers or mowers. Taking just 5 minutes to check could save a life.
