William (Bill) McMurdo Jopson

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Bill at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary on Thursday 3rd April aged 71 years. He was surrounded by his devoted family, and passed away peacefully in his wife's loving embrace.
A beloved husband, best friend, and soulmate to Donna, a loving dad to Michelle and Melanie, a cherished stepfather to Gareth, Nathan, and Heather and a proud grandad to Amy, Shannon, Jayden, Amelia, and Macsen. He was also a dear great-grandfather to Tommy and Remi, a respected father-in-law and grandfather-in-law to Ian, Paul, Natasha, Megan, and Karl, and a dear brother and brother-in-law to James and Margaret. Bill was a much-loved uncle to Carol and Andrew and a true friend to countless others.
Many will remember Bill for his dedicated service as a retired retained firefighter and his kindness as a volunteer hospital car driver.
The service to celebrate Bill's life will be held at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Friday 2nd May at 12:30 pm. Following the service, all are welcome to join the family for a reception at The Commodore Inn, Grange-over-Sands, from 2:00 pm onwards.
