Great to see the kids use their imagination’s yesterday as we recreated our own fireworks for bonfire night using toilet roll tubes and forks 🎆🎇what beautiful and different outcomes they each had. 🎨🫟

On Friday all the children came in for our yearly Halloween party👻🎃 we carved pumpkins, made ghost brownies, decorated cookies, partied to Danny go Halloween style and got stuck into plenty of Halloween crafts 🖤

At Bright Stars we’ve been learning about the Chinese new year. We have been doing lots of tasks and activities round this. This year the lucky colours are red,yellow and black so we used these colours to make our own snakes. The children each cut out their own pieces, practising their cutting skills. We also used the snakes as an opportunity to do number bonds to 10 and made sure each snake had ten pieces. We also incorporated the use of patterns that we had been learning the week before, which helped them create repeating patterns on their snake. A great way to incorporate lots of different skills in one task whilst learning about a new topic❤️🐍

Is anyone wishing for a white Christmas? The children at bright stars are! It was great to experience a snow day here where the children could make snowmen together, make snow angels and have snowball fights as well as be pulled on the sleigh! Who knows maybe will see some more before Santa comes 🎅🏻☃️❄️

A few weeks ago the children and I visited the Christmas tree festival at St Wulframs church what a wonderful way to start of Christmas and get into the Christmas spirit! The children had a wonderful time looking at all the pretty trees and lights and completing some of the activities that were on offer 🎄🎄🎄

One of my favourite crafts this year personalised to each child 🤍 each piece of ribbon is the length of the child. Not only does it make a pretty decoration but is a lovely keepsake! Next year a new one could be made to compare starting a lovely tradition🎀🎄

WERE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT🐻✨
Each week at bright stars we have a topic of interest and a story that we focus on and base activities around. We used this opportunity to go on our own bear hunt ..through the deep dark forest, through the long wavy grass and through the thick oozy mud we even found a few caves along the way but thankfully no bear!!😆

Sorry for the lack of posts lately we’ve been jam packed with activities! But we’re Baack! Expect a spam of posts the next few weeks showing you guys what we’ve been getting up to the last month or two!
🎃👻🎃👻Halloween was an absolute Hit! With spooky crafts, ghostly treats, fancy dress and trips out we definately had the best time here at bright stars 👻🎃👻🎃

Last week was World Space Week! 🌎🪐 So we spent the week doing space related activities. We made our own space suncatchers, We explored the different planets and done a lovely colouring to represent them. We done a space counting activity and practiced our cutting skills with the children’s scissors. We even made a space snap! A week full of craft and fun 🎉

Nature Wands ✨🍁🍃
we love exploring the outdoors and one of the activities we decided on this week was to make some magic fairy wands🪄 we collected a great mixture of different coloured leaves and flowers and then worked together using our motor skills to rip the leaves apart. We then carefully stuck each coloured bit onto our wands as well as securing our sticks. These were a massive hit with the children casting their spells and making their wishes! How amazing are they 🍁🪄

We offer stretched funding as well as term time so the fun doesn’t stop in half term! Plenty of trips out in the summer holidays making the most of the sunshine ☀️🕶️
