The human body evolved to move and to function efficiently.. as they say move it or lose it.
Here is a great article with a bit of background all about the buzz word of fascia, and foam rollers are not necessarily the answer.

Our muscles, bones and organs are held together by a network of tissue that influences our every move. Is there a way we can use it to our advantage?

Scars & dural drag.
Abdominal and C-section scars can tether superficial fascia, limit neural glide, and create tension that refers far from the scar itself.

• Scars don’t just affect the surface — they can influence the whole chain.

• Gently lift or pinch and work over the scar → re-test neck rotation or slump.
• Palpate along the line of pull → observe symptom changes.

Why I spend time working on your neck.

Why I spend time working on your neck.

MYODURAL BRIDGES EXPLAINED.
Where the sub-occipital muscles meet the dura.
This small anatomical bridge carries big clinical meaning.
It’s the point where movement and neurology meet — muscle fibres from the re**us capitis posterior minor, major, and obliquus capitis insert directly into the spinal dura mater.
Every head movement transmits subtle tension through this connection, influencing spinal mechanics, neural tone, and postural feedback.
When the myodural bridge is restricted, symptoms can echo far beyond the neck — headaches, visual strain, imbalance, and compensations down the chain.
Assessment-led bodywork teaches you to recognise these patterns, trace them from cranium to sacrum, and correct at the source.
Learn to see what others miss.

When the dura tugs at the skull…
Upper dural restriction doesn’t just stay local. It can pull on cranial membranes that influence eye muscles, jaw mechanics, and headache patterns.
Treating only the symptom isn’t enough.
✨ Release the root — not just the symptom.
