First drink since Christmas — 5 months alcohol-free and my body noticed. Sat around a comfortable 84kg. Better recovery, improved strength, deeper sleep, clearer focus, and no missed workouts from feeling sluggish. Taking a break wasn’t about saying “no” forever — it was about looking after the body a tad and working on progress and aiming to feel strong. Cheers to balance and treating you body like an athlete! 💪

Had 4 pints and I slept like crap, woke up at 5am and missed the gym today 🤣 we move on though 🫡

For my my teacher friends!

I have been working with primary schools over the last, 5 to 6 years. Running boxercise, football and chess clubs during lunch time and afterschool clubs.

I also have experience leading P.E lessons using the get set for P.E lessons plans provided by the schools. This has been classes of 25 to 32 pupils with support from a teacher or teaching assistant.

I am looking to add more clubs and lessons to my diary going forward, so if your school is looking for external sports coaches to come in and help, let me know 🤝🫶

Meet .

Started PT sessions with me a few years ago.

15kg down on the scales, although our main focus eventually was getting strong and we trusted the scales would follow.

A few years later we hit
100kg deadlift for 10 reps
110kg leg press for 10 reps
80kg back squat for 10 reps
60kg chest press for 2 reps and 65kg for 1
100kg hip thrusts for 10 reps

She got strong AF 💪

Here's what she had to say:

"Reece was my PT for what must have been 2 years. I started my journey with a PT with very little direction in mind, only to move more and lose some weight.

Quickly I started wanting to achieve much larger goals and nothing was impossible in Reece’s eyes. That alone gave me the confidence to achieve them.

The gym became my outlet, I never thought I’d say that. Sessions were filled with belly laughs, banter and progress.

With 100kg deadlifts and a 65kg bench press under my belt, I was stronger than I’d ever been. I’d recommend Reece to anyone, whatever your initial goal.

The hardest part for me was booking my induction and I’m truly glad I did"

The first photo is from last year at some point, a steady 96kg and rising heading into Christmas. 😆

I actually didn't really mind how I looked, but the numbers were slowly consistency rising and without being able to gym as much and the lack of jiu-jitsu I knew if it was to continue this way it would become a slippery slope.

It's not that being a Dad is the issue because, let's be honest, my little one is in bed 7:30pm/8pm. Does being a parent come with challenges, of course, BUT if I really wanted to go to the gym, I had time, I was just in a bit of a funk and quite honestly, I couldn't be arsed 🤣

I have been a gym goer (if you want to call it that) for 17 years! 17! I go through these cycles of not really wanting to be in the gym. Which is why finding a sport you love is important.

So I needed a challenge to get me going, I decided to stop drinking. The challenge was to do dry January and keep going for as long as possible.

The 2nd photo is 1st June, 5 months sober and roughly 1 or 2 sessions in the gym a week, if that. A lot of this was done through diet. I was 84kg, 12kg (1 stone 12 lbs or 26 lbs) lighter than I was previously.

Diet really is key when it comes to fat loss. You don't have to spend your life in the gym if you don't want to. Just a couple of hours a week.

The 3rd photo im sitting at 88kg, after a very busy summer, weddings, football, BBQs, nights out, the big 30th, lots of food and booze. I am currently 88kg and looking forward to shifting the summer weight come September 😅

It was about time we did another recording.

Today I set the pool to the same temperature to what it was when I did my first ever dip and compared them both!

It's amazing how much easier that felt today, when a few months ago it felt freezing. Not looking forward to lower the temperature for the next though. Nothing feels good below 10° 😅

If I can't get a dip in, I try have a cold shower instead. That way I'm getting some form of cold water exposure.

Just like the gym, sometimes you don't feel like going, do something anyway, even if it is a little walk. Do something 👊

I do wonder when this will get any easier 🧐🤣

That was a tough one, and really didn't want to move once I sat down😅 I hate that I couldn't get my shoulders under that time 😮‍💨 we go again 👊

We take every win, 1 at a time

That gust of wind at the end nearly took me out 🤣

I almost bottled yesterday's dip, went back inside and had a word with my self. Half hour later we managed to get back out there!

Heart rate went from 80bpm to 88 when I was prepping it and got up to 100, then 110 and then got back down to 90 once I got my breathing under control.
