Our branch had our first Christmas Fayre last Wednesday, 17th of December. We had a number of visitors from staff, customers, family members and a welcome surprise from Grimsby tourists who were planning to visit the Belton lights! It was a day of fun filled event and we ended this week with a raffle! A big thank you from everyone who supported our first Christmas Fayre, especially to Jodie, our RM from Peterborough branch who made our place feel very Christmassy! Congratulations to all the winners of our tombola and raffle prizes! ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ…๐ŸฆŒ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽ

After our heart warming MacMillan Coffee morning on 26th September, Greenwood Homecare had successfully raised ยฃ505.72 in total. We have two cancer survivors on that day who shared their stories and how this organisation had helped on the times that it was needed. Many thanks to all who had made this event possible, down to delicious cakes and cupcakes from Precious Distajo, one of our staff here at Greenwood and our former employee Debbie Rogers, the support from office, Kate, Sophie, and Sarah whom they made our guests all feel welcome. Most of all, to those who have shared their time and money to support this wonderful cause.

Talk about Stress and its effects to reduce the stigma that is associated with stress by talking about the topic openly and freely with friends, family and colleagues.

Share your coping mechanisms โ€“ if something has worked for you why not share it. It might benefit someone you care about and in the meantime, it might help you take your focus off your own challenges.

Be nice to those who are stressed and anxious โ€“ we are all undoubtedly going to experience stress and anxiety in our lifetime so treat others going through wit with compassion and empathy.

Look after yourself โ€“ we all need to think more about self โ€“care. Take time out of your day to relax or do something that you enjoy. Donโ€™t forget to exercise and eat well, even when you feel too stressed.

The most crucial thing you can do when you are stressed or anxious is to make sure you are continuing to look after yourself. Make time to relax when you need to and learn to say no to requests that are too much for you.
