CleanCut Forestry use a small specialist mini forwarder to bridge the gap between the larger companies with heavy machines and cutting the timber and moving it by hand. Larger machines require high haulage cost and can cause a lot of damage to the ground so if the job is to small to outweigh to prices of getting a large machine or if the ground can not be damaged then the Alstor offers the perfect solution! We also offer any form of tree surgery from small shaping and pruning jobs to full dismantles using all the latest lowering equipment and techniques to ensure no damage to property.

Definitely the way to clear brash from a site!! Weeks worth of chipping done in a day and a half, thanks Ally from Raddery sawmill.

Timberman beetle part of the long horn beetle family found up at the sawmill. The beetles depend on dead pine trees so aren’t a threat to any of our lovely cut hardwood boards! The antennae on the males can be as much as 4 times as long as their bodies and twice the length of their bodies on the females!

We have been working on the banks of Loch Ness recently thinning and re-spacing an amazing broadleaf woodland.
The longterm plan for the woodland is to encourage a better quality of birch to grow as well as letting more light through to the forest floor to encourage oak and other species to start showing their heads.
