I am a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor. I am a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) I am also a CPD (continuous professional development) reviewer for the BACP. I am also qualified to work on platforms other than just Face2Face, this could be telephone, Zoom, or Teams, I do not hold sessions via email or text. Sessions are 50 minutes. I am also a qualified draw and talk practitioner. I have worked with primary school-aged children, secondary school-aged young people, with issues such as anxiety, those who have been affected by DV, DA, body dysmorphia, sexuality, anger, death, mental health, suicidal ideations, self-harm. Insurances and membership numbers are available on request. A little about me, I am a mother to 4 boys and a diva- sorry daughter, the last 13 years I have worked in a secondary school, enabling students who find mainstream a challenge, those who may have additional needs such as SEMH, ADHD, ASD, MLD, SPLD. I will admit I am a bit of a rescuer and there is nothing I love better than to see someone untangle the chaos they have going on, helping them to realise they have the tools and the resilience to cope when life struggles hit. Believe me, I have had a few! and there is nothing more lonely than feeling like you are not enough, not good enough, our negative automatic thoughts (NATS) will come into play, we are so programmed into not being able to speak about our own personal qualities as would come across as being conceited.
