We had our weekly visit from Ablore today. Ablore always brings smiles 😃 and laughter to his art 🎨 and crafts sessions here at Springwood Corner. Today our lovely clients worked with clay. They cut ✂️ shapes ready for next week, where they will be colouring and stringing them all together for the garden.

We would like to share that our much‑loved Wellbeing Coordinator, Jenny , will be leaving Springwood Corner.

Jenny has played a truly special role in our community. Through her kindness, dedication, and passion for wellbeing, she has helped build a strong, caring, and inclusive foundation that has touched the lives of our residents, families, and team in so many meaningful ways. Her creativity, warmth, and genuine commitment have made a meaningful difference, and she will be greatly missed.

While we are sad to see Jenny go, we are incredibly grateful for everything she has given to Springwood Corner and are excited for her as she moves on to her next chapter. We wish her every success and happiness in the future.

🎨What a lovely turn out for the Art Exhibition , Featuring Local Artists 🎨

Thank you so much to everyone who came along , it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, and there were some truly great pieces on display.

We really appreciate all the support and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

We were proud to showcase work from an incredibly talented group of artists:
Wendy Robinson
A Gravesend‑based artist creating abstract and contemporary pieces using acrylics, sprays, and mixed media.
Peter Gibson
Originally from West Yorkshire, Peter resumed painting as a hobby after retiring from the Prison Service.
Judith de St Croix
Judith creates colourful mixed‑media paintings using printing and stencilling techniques.
Andy Hopton
A Singlewell artist working in watercolour, ink, acrylics, and striking 3D creations made from upcycled materials.
Paul Relf
A lifelong Gravesend resident, Paul works mainly in acrylics, gouache, and graphite, and is well known for his historic aircraft artworks and popular depictions of St George’s Church.

Thank you again for making it such a memorable exhibition ❤️
