Is your teenager always tired after walking? Complaining of foot pain?
They might be developing acquired flatfoot — a growing issue in today’s screen-heavy, low-movement world.
Sedentary habits + muscle imbalance during
puberty = collapsed foot arches, pain, and poor posture.
The good news? Osteopathy can help.
Gentle manual therapy, posture correction, and targeted exercises can restore balance and support healthy growth.

Posture Reset — Before & After Osteopathic treatment
Realigning more than just bones

Before:
– Forward head position
– Chin elevated
– Shoulders rounded
– Thoracic spine slouched
– Abdomen protruding due to anterior pelvic tilt

After:
✔️ Head now aligned over the thorax
✔️ Chin at a confident 90°
✔️ Shoulders retracted, chest open
✔️ Spine upright, not collapsed
✔️ Abdomen engaged, pelvis neutral

According to Jane Johnson’s postural assessment guide, this shift means:
✅Less stress on joints
✅ Less muscle strain
✅ More balance, more ease

Posture isn’t just about how you look — it’s how you function and feel.

A 10-year-old child with a two-week old fracture of the left wrist that occurred during a game of football.
The examination additionally revealed changes in posture and abdominal bloating, which was due to tension of abdominal muscle groups, diaphragm and slouching posture.

With the permission of the patient’s parents, I am sharing the results of a very gentle posture and abdominal correction. The result was possible to achieve with just one session.

But most importantly, it was possible to relax the tissues involved in the recent fracture of his wrist. After an injury it is very important to repair the affected tissues, relieve tensions caused by the mechanism of injury, improve blood flow to the tissues, all of which should help to speed up his recovery.
The parents hope that by the start of the winter holidays the arm will be recovered for skiing holiday 🎿 ⛷️

With the permission of the mum, I am sharing the progress of treating a 4 month old baby girl with an asymmetrical head shape in 4 weekly sessions.

☝️❗️What to look for right after the baby is born
- The baby cannot turn his or her head fully to one side, or does not turn to one side at all.
- the baby prefers one breast, not because the mother has little milk in one breast (this also happens, but not so often and is related to clamps in the spine of the mother).

A pronounced asymmetry of the head begins to appear later, when the child begins to wean the soft bones of the skull on one side, to which it is easier for him to turn his head.

The medical term plagiocephaly – the head is flattened on one side, causing it to look asymmetrical; the ears may be misaligned and the head looks like a parallelogram when seen from above, and sometimes the forehead and face may bulge a little on the flat side.

A happy and at the same time sad event.
Happy to see so many faces of the staff and osteopaths who have graduated from this institute, whom I have not seen for so many years, but sad that the building of a great institution has been sold and it will never be the same for ESO and osteopathy itself.

My dear patients

I am gradually returning back to work after 9 months of maternity leave.

I must admit, I have not been fully on maternity leave for the whole 9 months, but have continued to see urgent patients on a limited basis, trying to help as much as I could by offering last minute appointments.

We spent part of those 9 months of maternity leave as a family travelling around Vietnam, Turkey, Japan and Denmark, experiencing the world and bonding more as a family. This was vital to recharge my batteries and find the right emotional balance to bring positivity back to my patients.

Looking forward to taking care of your health again

Happy Mother’s Day 🌷❤️
My son’s message on the card:
“Thank you for not giving me any sweets
Thank you for not letting me watch television”

I have to admit that all these endless battles of not allowing him sweets, junk food and screen/TV seem to lead nowhere and are not appreciated by him.
But his today's message melted my heart.

To be honest, I thought it would be more difficult travelling independently with an infant and an inquisitive 4 year old with no plans. I had no plans and no expectations - so should be no disappointments liked missed busses, trains, hotels, bookings.

Sometimes they do go through difficult moments simultaneously, at the most inopportune moments🤣
