Experience the lifting, brightening, and revitalising power of Kobido Facial Massage. My lovely regular client came in for her Kobido session, leaving with rejuvenated and even more beautiful skin than before!

This Kobido facial massage demonstrates how powerful touch and technique can be. By stimulating circulation, lifting facial muscles, and easing tension, the skin regains its natural radiance and tone. Sometimes, invasive treatments aren’t necessary, your face simply needs care, attention, and a skilled pair of hands.

How can massage therapy help your health & well being in the colder months?

As the weather turns colder, many of us notice our bodies feeling a little different. Muscles get tighter, joints feel stiffer, and even our mood can dip with less sunlight. Massage therapy is one of the best ways to support your body and mind through the winter season:

✨ Improves Circulation: Cold weather can slow blood flow, leading to chilly hands, feet, and achy muscles. Massage stimulates circulation, keeping your body warm and moving with ease.

✨ Relieves Stiffness & Tension: Many people feel more joint and muscle pain in colder months. Regular massage loosens tight muscles and helps maintain flexibility.

✨ Supports Immunity: Winter is cold and flu season. Massage reduces stress hormones and promotes relaxation, which supports a stronger immune system.

✨ Boosts Mood & Energy: Shorter days can bring on the “winter blues.” Massage helps increase serotonin and dopamine, giving you a natural lift.

✨ Nourishes Skin: Dry winter air takes a toll on your skin. Massage with hydrating oils helps restore softness and protection.

Taking care of yourself during the colder months is essential. Massage therapy doesn’t just feel good, it helps your body stay healthy, balanced, and resilient all season long.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐢?
Reike is a Japanese spiritual healing technique that uses light, gentle touch to channel what practitioners call "universal life force energy" to help promote physical and mental well-being.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐢 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤?
A Reiki session is a gentle, relaxing experience where you remain fully clothed, usually lying on a table in a calm setting. The practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above different areas of your body to channel healing energy, aiming to promote balance and relaxation.

You might feel warmth, tingling, or deep calm, though some people simply notice a sense of peace afterward. Sessions typically last 45–90 minutes and often begin and end with a brief conversation about your intentions and experiences.

𝐈𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐢 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧?
No. Reiki is a spiritual practice, but it’s not tied to any religion. People of all faiths—or none—can practice or receive Reiki.

𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬:
- Stress and anxiety reduction
- May relieve symptoms of insomnia, fatigue, and pain
- Promotes healing and overall wellbeing
- Helps you cope with difficult situations
- Encourages deep relaxation and mental clarity
- Supports emotional release and balance
- Enhances self-awareness and mindfulness
- May boost resilience during recovery or illness
- Creates a sense of inner peace and calm

𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐢 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭?
No. Reiki is a complementary practice, not a substitute for professional medical care. It can support healing but should not replace treatment prescribed by healthcare providers.

Learning is the best way to grow in my field, and I’m excited to continue my training in Kobido, the art of traditional Japanese facial massage.

Every technique we learn carries centuries of wisdom, and with each session, I’m deepening not just my skills, but also my understanding of how touch, rhythm, and presence can support true healing and rejuvenation.

Grateful for the opportunity to keep learning. Grateful to be able to share it with you soon.

As a massage therapist, I truly believe in the healing power of movement, breath, and intentional stillness - and that’s why yoga holds such a special place in my heart.

𝐘𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬:

✨ Increases flexibility & strength
✨ Helps reduce stress and anxiety
✨ Improves posture and body awareness
✨ Supports circulation and lymphatic flow
✨ Encourages mindfulness and deep relaxation

Yoga beautifully complements the healing work I do in massage therapy. The two go hand in hand—restoring balance, inside and out.

🧘‍♀️ 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐠𝐚? 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥!

- Try a beginner class (in person or online)

- Focus on your breath, not perfection

- Practice consistently—even 5 minutes a day helps

- Be kind to your body—it's not about flexibility, it's about connection

Most people think of massage as a one-time fix — a treat after a stressful week or when pain strikes. But here’s the truth: the real power of massage comes with consistency.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞:
🧠 Reduces Chronic Stress
Consistent massage calms the nervous system, lowers cortisol, and boosts feel-good hormones like serotonin and dopamine — helping you feel more balanced and less reactive to daily stress.

💪 Eases Muscle Tension & Improves Mobility
Over time, massage keeps muscles relaxed, joints more mobile, and posture better aligned — preventing pain from building up.

💤 Improves Sleep
Regular sessions help regulate your sleep cycle, making it easier to fall (and stay) asleep, naturally.

🩺 Manages Chronic Conditions
From tension headaches to back pain, fibromyalgia, or arthritis, massage can be a powerful tool to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
