One of our new services which is handy to know about this time of year, is that we can prescribe antibiotics for infected insect bites. The signs to watch out for:
Redness of the skin
Pain or tenderness to the area
Swelling of the skin
Skin surrounding the bite feels hot to the touch
This does not apply to tick bites, which require different treatment from the Doctors.
