“We give you time to talk” 💬

It’s a simple philosophy—but one that makes a real difference.

At Chelmsford Private GPs, we believe good healthcare starts with listening. That means unhurried appointments, space to ask questions, and time to fully understand what’s going on.

Because when you feel heard, care becomes more personal—and more effective.

Don’t just take our word for it… 💬

We’re proud to support our patients with personalised, unhurried care—but it means even more coming from those we’ve helped.

“I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Onen. It’s so refreshing to speak with a doctor who is truly empathetic and takes the time to listen. I never felt rushed — she made me feel fully heard, understood, and genuinely validated. Her calm and kind manner instantly put me at ease, and she was incredibly thorough in her investigations. It really felt like she was in my corner throughout the entire appointment. I’m so grateful to have found her and couldn’t recommend her highly enough.”

Thank you to our patients for trusting us with your care.

Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Mental health support looks different for everyone.

If you’ve been struggling with low mood or anxiety, there isn’t just one path forward. For some, medication can be helpful. For others, talking therapies, lifestyle changes, or simply having space to talk can make a real difference.

At Chelmsford Private GPs, we take the time to understand you and talk through the options—so you can choose what feels right.

Personalised care, at your pace.

If you’re not feeling yourself, we’re here to help.

🎉 We’re turning 3!

This month, Chelmsford Private GPs celebrates our third birthday—and we want to say a big thank you to all our patients.

From the very beginning, our focus has been simple: providing accessible, personalised care in a calm and supportive environment. That means more time with your GP, easy access to appointments, and continuity of care you can rely on.

We’re proud to have supported so many patients over the past three years, and we’re grateful for the trust you place in us every day.

Here’s to the next chapter 🥂

💙 April is Testicular Cancer Awareness Month

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in younger men, but when detected early it is highly treatable.

If you notice a lump, swelling, or changes in your testicles, speaking to a GP can provide reassurance and help you access further tests if needed.

Our men’s health services support proactive care and early detection.

Allergy Awareness Week is a good reminder that many common symptoms—such as sneezing, itchy eyes, rashes, or swelling—can be caused by allergic reactions to allergens. A lot of us will experience allergies to known triggers particularly as pollen levels rise during this time of year.

But what do you do if you are not sure what you are reacting to? At Chelmsford Private GPs, we offer allergy blood testing to help identify IgE-mediated allergies, which are responsible for immediate reactions such as hives, swelling, or respiratory symptoms.

We have a wide range of testing options for IgE-mediated allergies including pollens, dust mites, animal dander, certain foods, moulds, and insect venoms.

Through a thorough history our clinicians will recommend the most appropriate approach for you to minimise the risk of false positives and unnecessary restrictions.

Allergy testing is complicated and IgE testing not suitable for all allergic reactions and our clinicians will advise and guide you. Gastric symptoms and worsening of eczema are more indicative of non-IgE-related conditions, which require a different approach.

Today is World Parkinson’s Day.

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological condition that can affect movement, balance, and everyday activities. Early recognition of symptoms can help people access the right medical guidance and specialist support.

Many people do not know that common early signs may include loss of or reduced sense of smell, unexplained constipation, smaller handwriting, an impassive face and even depression or anxiety.

At Chelmsford Private GPs, our experienced doctors can discuss symptoms, provide advice, and arrange referrals to specialist consultants if needed.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day 💙

Autism spectrum disorder affects how people communicate, interact, and experience the world around them. Greater awareness helps create understanding, inclusion, and access to the right support.

Early recognition can make a meaningful difference, but many families face long waiting times when seeking advice or assessment.

At Chelmsford Private GPs, our experienced doctors can provide guidance, discuss concerns, and refer patients for specialist private assessments where appropriate.

If you have concerns about autism or developmental differences, speaking to a GP is an important first step.
