🎄A very normal December Sunday… Do you ever get to this time of year and suddenly feel the urge to sort everything before Christmas lands? The Christmas tree is up, the lights are twinkling, and somehow that means every cupboard needs emptying and every toy box needs tackling. Well, that was our weekend.
💃In true “Laura style,” I decided we’d sort the whole house in a day. As my dad always says… Rome wasn’t built in a day… but now I have my own house, it certainly tries to be! One cupboard led to another, and before we knew it, every room was upside down, the kids were rediscovering forgotten toys, and we were wondering why we ever started.
🧹Between tidying, hiding presents, sorting clothes, posting things on Facebook Marketplace (which, of course, everyone wanted to collect today), doing washing, and the food shop arriving, it felt like the full modern family life chaos.
🕖But somehow, by seven o’clock, the kids were tucked up in bed, and the house was 98% back to normal, just in time to relax, unwind and for me to sit here writing my newsletter, whilst watching a Christmas episode of Mr Bean haha!
A very typical December Sunday… busy, a bit mad, but full of festive fun and the kind of chaos every family knows well.
