Small business reminder 💛

You are NOT required to run a Black Friday sale.

Discount culture was built for big-box retailers with huge margins — not small, independent businesses doing handcrafted, thoughtful, often labour-intensive work. You’re allowed to protect your value, your time, and your sustainability.

If you want to offer a sale, great. If you don’t? Also great. Pricing fairly and consistently is not something you should feel guilty about.

So here’s your permission slip (not that you need one): focus on what keeps your business healthy, not what the corporates that you don't aspire to be like are doing or what the internet says you “should” do. Your people will show up for you anyway. ✨

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I updated social media.
I'm still in 2 minds about how best to use it, and whether to use it at all.... what do you think?

Am I missing a trick by not posting here more often or more regularly?
Do social media posts (or a lack of them) influence your decisions on whether and where to book a treatment?

Maybe I'll do a post or a poll to try and get to the bottom of that..... 🤷🏻‍♀️

In the meantime I just wanted to post and let everyone know I'm still here, massaging and reflexology-ing away 😊
In fact that's probably part of the reason I haven't posted so much recently... I've been practically fully booked since mid-December 🙏🙌🙏

💷 I also wanted to let everyone know about some price increases that came into effect last month (April 2025) - see attached pics.

Swedish Massage prices remain the same, Reflexology and Indian head have increased slightly, and AYM has (finally) moved to full price (from the introductory price I started doing it at 18-ish months ago 😳 🫣)

I have a few days off next week - very much looking forward to few days in Sicily with the girls from En-Rapture and then I'll be back

I have a couple of training courses booked, one to bring you something new and one which will mean I can bring one of my treatments to even more people. I'll update soon!!!

Excited to get a better understanding of the spine, what it is, how it works (and how it doesn't) with this More Than Anatomy Spine 101 course.

Tonight I printed off all the notes for the course so I can get an overview of each week before i watch the videos and watched the week 1 day 1 video. 👩‍🏫🤓

I'm looking forward to the first of 4 weekly, interactive zoom sessions next Thursday.

These courses really help to bring the anatomy I work with daily to life in a way that the text books never have. ✨️🙌

Anyone got any interesting spine issues for me to get to grips with? 👀

Feedback like this (full text below) really does make my day. Might have cried a little bit when I read this earlier todsy 🥹

"Thanks so much for yesterday.I had a lovely chilled evening, and the best is no back pain and hobbling around when I got up today. Walked up darwen tower and jet washed outside. Normally my back would be killing me now but nothing..... Needless to say I will be back. Think I'm going to do once a month. "

This lady has been promising herself a treatment for a good few months now and yesterday she finally gifted herself some time out for a reflexology treatment (and took advantage of the offer I had on to add a scalp and face massage).

She hadn't mentioned the back pain prior to this message so it was lovely to hear that she felt freer moving and pain free this morning. I truly believe that it's not just my treatment that promotes this but the combination of my treatment and the client taking some time out and prioritising themselves

💜🤍💜🤍"What a dream" 💜🤍💜🤍

My client just kept repeating this after her first treatment with me today. A lovely 90 minute full body Swedish Massage.

The main priorities were "just to chill" and "target the tension held at the base of the neck" so we started with approximately 30mins back, neck and shoulders (with some hot towels of course to help melt away some tension) followed by backs of legs, feet, fronts of legs and feet again.... (a little bit of reflexology may have snuck in here, who am I to fight what my intuition says a client needs 😂) followed by hands and arms, then a bit more work round the neck and shoulders and finished it all off with a little scalp and facial massage 💆‍♀️

I'm always a little bit nervous with a new client. I know how hard people work, how important self care can be and how disappointing it is to have a massage that for one reason or another just doesn't quite tick your boxes. So to hear this at the end of the treatment, well, it was kinda dreamy for me too. 💫💜🤍💫

So thankful that I get to do what I do!
