Why did I connect with sound?

My first interest in sound began when I enjoyed my Karuna® Reiki training back in 2013. I was amazed at how the use of my voice (along with Karuna Reiki) changed how I felt and how I sounded 🎶 when I toned and chanted various symbols.

Fast forward a year and I completed my Reiki Drum training and was further blown away at how the drum 🥁 could make a difference to how I felt on an emotional, physical and spiritual level.

Another tick for sound and what it could do for me as well as my clients. Life carried on and I was drawn to organise sound baths for my clients and students using other sound healers as I didn't feel I was able to train in this modality.
I was still processing myself and didn't feel I would be good or clever enough to be able to offer sound baths to large groups of people. Those little doubt gremlins were still tapping away in my head!

Eventually one of the sound healers I was having offer group sessions told me I would be able to offer sound baths and I should go for it.

The journey of sound continued (and still continues now) and I completed various sound courses to help me gain confidence in many instruments and be able to hold group and individual sound sessions.

This path has evolved for me to teach sound courses (as well as reiki, drumming and crystal courses) to many students one of which is my husband.

We both hold sound baths together now and what a joy it is to be able to work together. Seeing the change in those who come to our sound baths is an absolute wonder.

Sound creates joy, love, balance, release and laughter as well as encouraging physical and emotional healing.

Here's to the next part of our journey and where sound will take us 🎶🥁🤗

Our Story

Hayley became interested in complementary therapies many years ago after the birth of her children. Post natal depression was why Hayley was drawn to try other therapies as conventional medicine wasn’t doing enough on it’s own!

Over the years Hayley’s training began with massage, reiki, indian head massage, holistic facials along with other energy therapies. Hayley started Serenity Touch in April 2008 and hasn’t looked back!

Hayley loves what she does and continues to learn new therapies - physical ones and energetic ones. Check out her new website https://www.pathwaytoserenity.co.uk/ where you will be able to see all the courses and workshops that are offered.

Serenity Touch will continue to offer treatment sessions to clients along with all the new courses at Pathway to Serenity.
