Pancreatic Cancer 31 mile challenge update:

​Our amazing walkers, Leanne and Megan, are officially halfway to their goal! They've logged 13 miles for the Pancreatic 31 Mile Challenge!
​Yesterday's miles were walked on the Common with their furry cheerleaders:Misty, Snorlax, and Mikey, along with Megans son Koda! These miles are raising vital funds for Pancreatic Cancer.
​It's the 13th of October—let's make their next 18 miles count! Can you chip in and support their incredible effort?

October Walk 31 Miles Challenge for Pancreatic Cancer UK!

Fantastic progress on Day 2! 🎉

With the help of three wonderful residents, we smashed another mile, bringing our total to 4 miles for the 31-mile challenge!
We combined fitness with fun, walking around the home and pausing to share lovely stories while looking at the memory boards. Every step is meaningful!
27 more miles to go! We're feeling motivated! 💪

Huge congratulations to the winners of our recent photo competition! 📸
🥇Well done to Megan, for her charming entry: "Leaf me a lone, I'm adorable," which captured the hearts of our residents and took the Residents' Choice Overall Winner title! 🌿

🥇And a huge shout-out to Caroline, who won the Staff & Visitors' Choice Overall Winner with her stunning photo, "Bridge to beauty." That's a well-deserved win! 🌉

As the leaves change and a crisp autumn breeze fills the air, we've started our very own Tree of Thanks! It's been a wonderful talking point, with staff and residents sharing what they're grateful for.
​We're feeling so much joy and gratitude as we read all the heartfelt messages. We'll be adding more to the tree as time goes on, and we can't wait to see it full of positive gratitude!

Our residents at Hatchmoor Nursing Home have been looking forward to a special treat, and it's finally here! They're enjoying delicious fish, chips and mushy peas from the local favourite, Taffs. It's wonderful to see them tucking into this classic meal.

📸 Tuesday was World Photography Day! We celebrated this with a super friendly photography competition.

Now for the exciting part – choosing the winners! Our residents will be picking their favourites this Friday, August 22nd. But we thought it would be fun to get everyone involved!

We'd love to see what our visitors and staff think too! Pop into our main reception area and vote for your favourite photo just for fun. The amazing images will be on display until Friday, August 29th.

The ground floor residents and I (Megan) have started a massive 1,000-piece puzzle.
It's a real challenge, and we'll be working on it together over the next few days.
