ANOTHER DPF CLEAN !!!

Nearly blew my last braincell on this one today!!

After a panicked phone call to the rep asking for a new machine I found that the dpf pressure pipe was blocked solid.... No wonder the machine sounded terrible!😬🤦‍♀️🙈

Pipe cleaned, dpf cleaned, ecu reset and all is well.

! 😂

Another successful DPF clean with Forté! 💪

Today's Ford Kuga was booked in for diagnostics after having a few problems, and being told his BCM may be at fault he looked for a second opinion.

Not sure how to put this without it being an essay but essentially the DPF became blocked after a boost leak that hadn't been found for 3 weeks, once repaired the ECU then wasn't told it was ok to do it's regens again.
DPF clean done, road test, and all is well again. :)

Peugeot Diganostics, Faulty PAT Fluid Tank

pictures because my pov camera didn't record today (though that may have been me!!) 🙈😬

Previous diagnostics carried out by an unknown garage advised it to be an AdBlue fault, I was called for a second opinion.

- EML Illuminated, engine fault on dashboard, no UREA light or countdown.
- Code read shows code P1442 (Control of the additive pump by wire-Open circuit).
- Clear fault code, immediately returns.
- Lower PAT/PEF tank and find AdBlue leaking into the main control plug.
- Directly apply 12v to the pump, no actuation.

Prime example of knowledge being essential when code reading a vehicle, many french vehicles have both AdBlue and PAT fluid systems fitted to lower emissions.
