Direct or unattended cremation is something we offer. The cost is £1399.00 and there are no hidden or extra costs.

The difference between coming to an Independent funeral director compared to an online company is huge, not just in cost.

We are not 'faceless' and will meet with a family, discuss everything and then care for your loved one ourselves.

If you wish we can ensure your family member is dressed in their own clothes, you can visit them in our chapel and we will always be on the other end of the phone.

We partner with a local crematorium, you will know the day of cremation and your loved ones ashes will return to us, for you to collect.

Please do consider your local, independent funeral director when looking at a simple cremation, we are here to help.

At Murrants we like to throw ourselves into what we can to help our community, charity and of course the families we assist.

The Air Ambulance is a vital part of our emergency services and so today, Jay & Shane (Jens husband) took part in a 6 mile obstacle run 'Only The Brave' to raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance as team 'Murrants Mavericks'.

Fun was had, success was celebrated and mud was worn....by some more than others! We are so proud of them!

We are incredibly fortunate to have a lovely setting for our Martham branch in the centre of the village.

Creating daily entertainment are the many ducks from the pond just over the road....Jay even tried to befriend a few!

Today was little Skippers first full office day and we must say, he was a superstar.

He met several people, from families to people arranging funeral plans and behaved beautifully.

Pics are a little snapshot of his day including various patches of carpet being tested for snoozeability! He brought a smile to various faces and that was lovely to see.

On National grief awareness day this is so true. We often talk to our families about the stages of grief and the 'waves' that happen.

We support people through tough times, when newly bereaved and even years later we are still able to stick the kettle on for a chat if it's needed. Sometimes it's helpful to talk to someone a little removed yet who was still there during the initial bereavement.

There is no 'normal ' way to grieve. Everyone is different and every way it impacts someone is personal to them.

We are here.

International dog day!

Today we celebrate all things canine. Dogs are an incredible source of comfort during bereavement and often help much more than they realise.

At Murrants our offices (and all funerals) are dog friendly. We can provide a bed, water, treats and cuddles for any visiting dogs.

We are also proud to partner with Parkers Packs, a local dog walking and training company who can offer support with walks, dog sitting or even assistance if you would like your dog to attend a funeral, being on hand to help.

We firmly believe that pets are family too.
