We are in Tier 5 from Jan 06. Our understanding at the moment is that health service outlets should remain open, and in view of this we will continue to be open at our normal hours.

The advice we are being given may change, and we will update the information here should this happen.

We are still operating a locked door policy to help manage social distancing, and when you arrive for your appointment please use the sanitiser provided and wear a face covering.

If you need a repair or adjustment with our technician please also call to make an appointment with him.

If you are booked in for an appointment and you have any Covid-19 symptoms, please do re-arrange your appointment, for the safety of our staff and patients.

As we all know by now, the latest national guidelines come into operation on Nov 05 2020. Our current understanding is that the regulations allow and encourage health service outlets
to remain open, and we will continue to be operate as normal during this period.

We still have a locked door policy, to help manage social distancing, and when you arrive for your appointment please use the sanitiser provided and wear a face covering.

If you need a repair or adjustment with our technician please also call to make an appointment with him.

If you are booked in for an appointment and you have any Covid-19 symptoms, do of course call to re-arrange your appointment, for the safety of our staff and patients.

We hope all our patient remain safe and well !

We would like to give an update regarding our current position at this present time during Covid-19.

In line with government guidelines, which we have to say are far from clear, we are not yet carrying out routine examinations, but we are working with a locked door policy, and are here to support you with any eye emergencies and queries regarding repairs to glasses.

We are working behind the scenes to make sure all our patients and staff are safe and protected at all times.

We will continue to keep you updated on government changes and we do look forward to seeing you all soon.

For any queries or emergencies please call 01493 601941 or 07564 048 562.

Just to let you know that we are still closed, in line with Government Guidelines, and unfortunately we've had no advice about when we might be able to re-open.

We are still available for emergencies on 0756 404 8562, so get in touch if you think there is anything we might be able to help with, or if you are having any eye problems on which you need advice.

Not clear yet what changes are going to be needed when we do reopen, but once we know more, we'll let you know.

Meanwhile, keep safe, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon !

Just to update you here, Baker Street is now closed, but we are still available, for emergencies only of course, on 0756 404 8562.

No sign yet of when this will all end, but hopefully things will become clearer for everyone in a week or two.

The lock-down is certainly looking effective!

We all miss seeing our patients and we can't wait to be back with you all again.

Take care

To all our valued patients ...

We hope you are all staying safe and well in these troubling times.

We are all aware how the situation with Coronavirus has been developing over the last few days, and in view of this we have decided to close temporarily.

We will however remain available, for eye emergencies only, and will continue to support you, as well as we can, by email or phone over the next few weeks or months.

We think this is the best course of action, as it is important for all of us to reduce social contact to an absolute minimum, particularly as so many of our patients fall into categories who must take special care to avoid problems.

If you call on our normal number an answerphone message will give you a mobile number on which you can contact us.

Thank you for your understanding here. We will continue to update you as things develop, and hope again that you all stay safe, and look forward to seeing you again, when we are open again.

Terence, Kenny and the Girls.

We have not yet received any Optometrist-specific Coronavirus advice, but will post further information here when we know more.

Currently we are open as normal.

We can confirm that none of our staff have exhibited any symptoms of infection, and are employing regular handwashing and other hygiene advice. We are wiping down all hard surfaces between patients, and cleaning frames very regularly.

We are also spacing out appointments, spacing out seating, and are continously reviewing our procedures.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns or questions.

Obviously you should not attend any appointment if you, or anyone you have been in contact with, have any symptoms of coronavirus.

We wish all our patients the very best during these testing times, and we all hope that at some point life will return to normal.
