Phew! After much hard work Susan has finally finished the Christmas windows just in time for Caister's 'Light Up for Christmas'. Based on a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theme and made mainly with recycled cardboard packaging held together with sealing wax and string we are hoping it will last till Christmas. We hope you like it as after 22 Christmases in Caister this will probably be our last, as Richard and Susan are planning to retire at Easter after over 40 years in the optical business.

We love Filby in Bloom. It makes the Village so colourful. This year we have been making keyrings to fundraise for it. They've been doing well so we've done a special one for the Village Fete on Bank Holiday Monday! 🌺🌻🌻

Somethings go beyond work and since I was a small child 50 something years ago I have inexplicably been a devoted fan of Crystal Palace football club who over those years have won.....absolutely nothing of any significance! Today it all changed! 😁 So if I have a slightly bigger grin on my face when you next come in you'll know the reason why!
