We have the pleasure of this little chap 11 years young. Alfie attends for his arthritis. He originally came in to use the underwater treadmill, this was due to his stiff joints and aching muscles. His muscles had become very sore and had over developed in some areas along with other muscles wasting away. As he became more free and comfortable he progressed into the pool, he seemed to enjoy the weightless feeling, unfortunately his pool sessions left him feeling sore with him taking a few days to recover. Alfie is back in the treadmill he has been much improved with his muscles. This is why we offer both as some dogs just find one more comfortable than the other. There is no cure for arthritis just being able to help relieve the symptoms is comfort enough for the dogs we can treat. I know it’s a few days late little man but happy birthday 🎂 xx
