We had two little visitors for our Friend in Deed session this week 💜

Harper & Lucian came to play with our residents Josie, Rosemary & Walter. Harper visited Joan in her room with the ice cream truck to sell ice-creams. Walter smiled as the little ones played. Josie & Rosemary tired a game of ring toss.

Our friend in deed sessions are really important to combat loneliness & it brightens up our residents day.

What an incredible turn out at our Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning yesterday! 😍💚

It was fabulous event with our residents commenting on what a 'lovely, lovely morning it was' !

Danielle, our Home Manager commented: "it was a joyous event with residents, staff, family and friends, with lots and lots of laughter!

My staff have gone over and above to create a special event for our community and residents, working hard on their days off baking treats and coming in to spend time with us.

Sam, our Activities Coordinator has excelled within her job role once again, making every day fun and joyful for our residents by pulling off such a wonderful morning"

Even relatives of our residents popped by to say hello and enjoy some coffee and cake, they have been commenting to our staff on what a lovely morning it was.

Well done to everyone who participated, and thank you to everyone who attended! 💚🌟

Here at Eversley we like to play a whole range of games!

💜 Margaret & Rosemary played a version of air hockey
💜 Jill played a version of snooker.
💜 Josie & Joan regularly play snakes & ladders, dominos & Jenga together.
💜 Josie & Rosemary played stick & bounce where they had to get their coloured balls on to the plates.

Playing all these games is a form of light exercise for our residents. It also brings out their competitive side & is a lot of fun! 🙌

Our staff have been busy preparing for the biggest Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning yet!

Come down to Eversley Lodge, North Denes Road, Great Yarmouth to keep us company, share cake and coffee with us and our residents, and have a sneak peak of our home 🫶

Our activities coordinator Sam & Support Worker Natasha took two of our residents Margaret & Patricia to the local park 🌟

Margaret & Patricia always sit together at lunch & swap newspapers so it felt the perfect afternoon to take them both out together to enjoy the sunshine ☀️💜

Our activities coordinator Sam took Rosemary out for the morning to enjoy the beautiful weather we have.

We went to Morrisons to do a bit of shopping, then continued our walk to see the sea 🌊 we then walked through the waterways gardens before heading back home.

Rosemary thoroughly enjoyed herself saying "good morning" to everyone we passed ☺️

We had a day of flower based activities here at Eversley! 💐

Firstly Patricia enjoyed arranging these beautiful flowers in to vases to decorate our lovely home with.

Then later on in the afternoon, Josie & Margaret painted & coloured in flower pictures for their rooms - Gorgeous work ladies 😍🌷🌹

Our friend in deed sessions are so Important as they combat loneliness, brings smiles to our residents faces & they talk about it for the rest of the day 💜

Our Activities coordinator Sam spent the afternoon doing one to one activities with Walter & Joan in their rooms 💜

Walter & Joan talked all about their different job roles that they had before retirement 😁

Walter had fascinating jobs in engineering & Joan was a machinist.

This activity is great as it brings back memories & it's great listening to them reminiscing about the different job roles 🙌
