3 Years……..
I Took This Photo 3 Years Ago Almost To The Day. That Day Was The First Ever Walk And Talk, Never Did I Imagine It Would Turn Into The Monster It Has, The People It’s Helped And All The Great Things That Have Happened In That Time.
In That Time When Just Two Lads Turned Up And Only One Of Which Walked With Me It’s Grown To The Point:
🙂 We Now Have Almost 100 Walks Completed
🙂 An Average Of 35 Men Attend Every Walk
🙂 A Gym Club
🙂 Regular Breakfast Clubs
🙂 Been Abroad As A Group Twice
🙂 Held A 3 Day Mental Wealth Event
🙂 Attended 21 Other Events Spreading Awareness
🙂 Help Set Up A Satellite Group That’s Thriving
🙂 Took The Lads Fishing
🙂 Day On A Farm
🙂 Supported Other Community Groups
🙂 Have 2 Murals In Town
🙂 Collabed With Reprezent Project Many Times
🙂 Drunk Over 2000 Cups Of Jay Jays Tea
🙂 Helped Launch And Support A Ladies Group
🙂 Held A Quiz Night
🙂 Had 101 Men Attend A Walk One Week
🙂 Won An Award For Our Entry In The Duck Race
🙂 Ray Jumped Out Of A Plane
🙂 Had Support From Norfolk Community Foundation
🙂 Nominated For A Making A Difference Award
🙂 Doctors Surgeries Have Our Posters & Flyers
🙂 Huge Support From Major Local Businesses
🙂 Done A Brave The Shave
🙂 Walked Alpacas
🙂 Kite Flying
🙂 Worked With Other Community Groups
🙂 Candle Making (I know, Don’t Laugh!)
🙂 Portrait Workshop
🙂 Had A Silent Disco And Meditated In The Snow
🙂 Made A Mens Shed With Dial & Reprezent
🙂 Sleptout For Charity With Homeless Help GY
🙂 Raised Money For Good Causes
🙂 We All Met The Legend Troy Hawke
🙂 Been Supported By The National Lottery
And Honestly So Much More, One Statistic I’ve Always Kept Close To My Chest Is How Many calls Or Messages I’ve Had From Lads On The Brink Of Ending It. That Number In 3 Years Is 17 🥲. I’m Glad To Say I See Everyone Of Them Chaps Now In A Better Place Mentally And Physically And It’s A Sight To Behold. Proud Of You Chaps, All Of You.
Important Bit - So Tomorrow Will Be 3 Years Since We Started, Id Love If Any Of You Lads Would Join Us On The Walk Tomorrow Even If It’s A One Off, It Would Mean The World To Me Personally.
