I am a Senior Healthcare Assistant with over 9 years of real hands-on experience, including nearly 2 years paid work in the UK caring for elderly and dementia residents — plus the last 2 years volunteering as a private carer to keep giving back and growing my skills.
When COVID hit, I didn’t walk away — I stepped forward. I answered the call when carers were needed most, even when that meant facing bullying, discrimination, and long exhausting shifts with minimal support. I stood strong because every person deserves to feel safe, respected, and cared for with dignity.
Since my last paid role ended, I refused to let my passion or skills fade. Over the last 2 years, I have been volunteering as a private family carer, providing daily personal care, mobility support, and companionship because caring is who I am, not just what I do.
