We have just increased the cost of ear cleaning, it’s the first in 6 years, we now charge £30 one ear £60 for two.

Here we are again trying to keep up, wax removal is going wild, lots of cowboys now getting in on the action, charging up to and beyond £100 for two ears, I’m still £25 a ear and absorbing the PPE cost, working slightly limited hours at the moment trying to keep safe, but able to fit anyone in although appointments maybe a few days wait. keeping abreast of the New Technology in Hearing Aids as best as possible via Computer Conferencing , so it’s all happening here at GYHearing

Well we are in trying times, we are closed at the moment for Xmas and New Year, open again on 11th January, this is subject moving out of tier 4 and back into 2, we must not underestimate the spread of the virus, although we have taken every care, we feel that we must ease back till it is safer, ear care is a very close contact profession, we hope you understand. We will be monitoring our tel messages, so please call and leave a message...Keep Safe.

Our advice still stand at the moment to observe social distance, so still not allowed to do wax removal..sorry about this, but normal service will resume ASAP

As Audiologists we are Governed by HCPC and guided by BSHAA, as it is today we must keep Social Distance, this as you may understand is quite impossible during a Ear Wax Removal, we could remove wax if wearing full PPE, but again, PPE is not available to Audiologists, we are working hard to come to some agreement on what will be safe, untill we are advised otherwise, the current advise will be adhered to...Social Distancing. Wax removal and ear testing will resume ASAP, we need to get back to normal, but there is a greater need to stay safe. Thank You.

EVERYONE IS AWEARE OF THE CURRENT SITUATION, NONE OF US ARE IMUNE, HEARING TESTS AND EAR CLEANING REQUIRE CLOSE CONTACT SO IT IS WITH SAD ESS THAT UNTILL WE ARE ADVISED THAT IT IS SAFE, ALL TREATMENTS WILL STOP, BUT BE ASSURED WE WILL BE BACK WITH SPECIAL OFFERS ON EAR CLEANING TO MAKE UP FOR DELAYS...SO WE WILL SEE YOU SOON.
