My story
I grew up in Stockholm with my parents and a younger brother and sister. Food was always an important part of our life. My mother cooked everything from scratch: baking bread, sprouting beans – we were probably the only family who ate brown rice in the 1970s!
I was lucky enough to be able to spend most of my childhood in the Great Outdoors, roaming in the forest and by the sea.
But, like many people, my health took a back seat when my career took off. I moved to London 20 years ago, and worked as a Project Manager in the City. Long hours and late nights meant I ate on the go, consumed too many ready meals and didn’t exercise enough.
