12 specialised infrared cameras are used to measure the 3D positions of reflective markers attached to your legs. The marker positions are used to create an exact computer model of you running. The model is used to accurately calculate your 3D joint angles. Your joint angles are compared to our extensive database in order to identify unusual patterns in your running style. This information can be used by other sports practitioners, such as physiotherapists and spors medicine doctors, to help identify the root-cause of your injury, recommend the best treatment and prevent recurring injuries. Just two weeks to go before the Run3D conference at Oxford University. We are really looking forward to this one with our Special Guest Dr Christian Maurer-Grubinger from the Redbull athelete performance centre in Austria leading a fantastic line up. With lectures and workshops from leaders across a wide range of disciplnes it is going to be a fantastic event.

Rich, like most triathletes, doesn’t like telling everyone about his triathlon exploits. He doesn’t even have an Ironman tattoo! But he is happy to say he had a Run3D on the way to his latest 70.3. And like other triathletes, he loved how comprehensive it was and how many stats he could dig into.
