House of High Frequencies at The Candle Light Barn in Somerset is a great venue to gather, meet, learn, enjoy founded by Chilean soprano Katherine Prado, she is a professional singer song writer residing in London, Ibiza and Frome for past 20 years and been passionate teaching singing for several years. Her interest and true love for entertainment and wellbeing activities inspired Katy to persude
a big space in the countryside to co create a fun program with artistic activities surrounded by an artistic community. While growing up in Ecuador Katherine was immersed in the wonders and mistisisms of the Amazon. Growing up in heaven she quickly made a strong connection with nature and saw all the goodness that is there for us. At 7 years old she join the band's school playing flute and then joined all dance lessons, she was very curious at developing her expressive self. At 8 years old Katherine discovered her singing voice and became the lead singer for her primary, secondary high-school. Growing up she discovered the power of music and decided to move to America to study opera at University of North Texas. Katherine then travelled in 2005 to the South of Chile with her mother to meet native people of Chile tribe "Mapuches" to learn about their culture, language and poetry. This had a big impact in her life because it made her understand to embrace and connect to where we come from and how do we feel when we connect to Mother Earth, fitness and creative self. While in London she has been teaching singing and doing loads of live performances in the world, entertaining personalities such us, Chris Martin, Ronnie Wood, Jeff Beck, Pharrell William, Mark Ronson, Nadal and many other celebrities within the entertainment and sport services. Currently Katherine is studying to become a practitioner in holistic voice and sound therapy. She has been able to experience the positive effects and benefits of music, fitness, cooking and alternative medicine among her students and friends Katherine wants to share this skills and in a near future create an educational wellbeing program that can be fun and insightful teaching this across schools, clubs and institutions. The aim Is about connecting to natural sources, using our hands and mind guided by intuition and all our sense. By giving this chance to be creative this can give confidence and be shared among new friends with similar interest becoming positive uplifting social activities.
