I work with those people, who for whatever reason have seen their health and wellbeing take a backseat due to the demands of this thing called life. First we discover what are the 'limiting factors.' This is where we take a look at daily habits and uncover what’s been holding my clients back from achieving their goals. This is where we collaborate to create a custom made program of solutions, tactics and strategies to combat and re-program habits to cut away the limiting factors that have been holding my clients back. The final phase that everyone loves to experience is the 'new challenges' phase. As new habits begin to take action and goals are met new and 'better' challenges will begin to surface. So we dip back into collaborating and refining the plan for fresh strategies, tactics and solutions whist my clients know they are so much further on and much better educated to make informed decisions than when they began. The outcome is always to empower you, the client to EAT, LIVE and MOVE better than before.

One day at a time.

That’s all we’ve got, so all I can do is have a plan, commit and show up for myself when I said I would.

This is what’s helping me realise how capable I am of being accountable to myself and how powerful that be.

And this is all I’ve done to grow from a fat mess and hating what I looked like to being ok with looking in the mirror again.

Here’s how I’ve learned to master my mental resilience, and so can you.

Mental resilience is about Bounce-Back Ability, learning and growing stronger than before.

Just Follow these three steps.

Start by cultivating a growth mindset.

See challenges as opportunities instead of immovable obstacles. Go looking for the challenges, they’re a chance to learn, to test yourself, to check how far you’ve come and to see what you need to do next to move forward.

Do this enough and you’ll be buzzing for the next challenge because you’ll see it as an opportunity to grow rather than a potential terrifying ordeal, and you’ll soon realise that the wolf you thought was at your door is just a little puppy.

Build Your Dream Team

Mate, the one thing I’ve realised is that I can’t do life by myself, I need my dream team.

Get to work building a strong support network, it’s a non-negotiable. Surround yourself with people who encourage you to take risks, to do the hard yards and believe in you.

But make sure your dream team are strong enough to pull you on your nonsense when you need it.

If I could step back in time, this is the one thing I’d remind myself everyday

You’re a busy parent, you're wearing 7-8 different hats every single day mate. Work deadlines to provide, a chef to the kids, a teacher, cleaner, a mentor, coach, the chief negotiator, a taxi driver. Then you’ve got your personal commitments, and what about time to yourself? All of this will leave you feeling stretched thin.

How easy is it to put caring for yourself, your fitness, sleep, and eating healthful food on the back burner when you're spinning all these plates. And after a long day, just getting in the car and driving to the gym is the last thing you feel like doing.

But here's what I want you to think about: putting yourself last, letting your health slide, it’s not just bad for you, it's bad for your family too mate. You need the relentless energy, strength, and resilience to keep up with the demands of being a parent and meeting life on life’s terms.

After my lad was born, understanding this little nightmare aws the first step in overcoming it. Recognising that my time is limited, that the beautiful chaos of my life is a battleground that allowed me to create quick, efficient workouts that fit into my double busy schedule.

So, let's face this challenge head-on. It’s time to put yourself first and make your health and fitness a priority, not just for you, but your family mate.
