🌄 A View to Treasure at Belleaire House Care Home 🌄

We just had to share these beautiful views of the River Clyde, captured from one of our residents’ rooms - what an incredible sight to wake up to!

Fun fact: the mountain you can see is Ben Cruachan, also known as the Hollow Mountain - a Munro located in Argyll and Bute, Scotland

We truly are spoiled with views like this here at Belleaire House, and moments like these bring so much joy to our residents ❤️😊

🎤✨ New Year Celebrations at Belleaire House Care Home ✨🎶

We wrapped up our New Year celebrations in style with “Jack High’s New Year Show”, and what a fantastic time it was! 🥳🎉

Nan kicked things off on the mic with some brilliant singing while our very own dancing queen Jean had everyone smiling and clapping along 💃🎤👏

There was so much laughter, music, and joy shared by residents and colleagues alike - the perfect way to finish off the festive season together 🌟🎊

💪⚽✨ Fit-Baw Fun at Belleaire House! ✨⚽💪

Our residents enjoyed another fantastic Fit-Baw chair exercise session with Paul, taking part in circuit-style activities focused on balance and movement. 🪑🙌 It was lovely to see everyone getting involved, supporting one another, and having plenty of fun along the way 😊

A huge congratulations to Margaret, our Player of the Week for the final session of 2025! 🏆🌟

Margaret joined in with every exercise and kindly encouraged her fellow residents to take part - what a star! 👏

We had a very special visitor at Belleaire… Santa himself arrived to spread Christmas cheer, and he brought plenty of smiles with him 🎅❤️

Our residents and their families were thrilled to hear they’ve all made it onto the Good List this year — and our wonderful colleagues were just as delighted to join in the festive fun 🎁✨

We were absolutely moved as around 25 wonderful children from St Mary’s School came to perform for our residents. 💖😊

This December, colleagues, residents, families and friends from across all 27 Meallmore care homes came together to do something truly special.

Through our Meallmore Reindeer Run, we collectively:
✔ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝟰,𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀
✔ 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 £𝟮,𝟮𝟲𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝗿 Cash for Kids – 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀
✔ 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 to support children and families across our local communities

From walking, wheeling, cycling and adapting activities, to festive costumes, creativity and teamwork, this was a challenge that everyone could be part of — and that’s what made it so powerful.

More than a fundraiser, the Reindeer Run was about:
💚 Inclusion and connection
💚 Bringing people together
💚 Supporting families beyond our homes
💚 Showing what’s possible when communities work as one

A huge thank you to every resident, colleague, family member and supporter who took part, donated, cheered us on or helped make this happen. This is what makes Meallmore such a special community - and why we’re so proud of the people who live and work in our homes.

Meallmore’s Reindeer Run saw 27 care homes travel 4,800 miles, raising £2,260 and donating over 250 gifts for Cash for Kids.
