We've been fortunate to enjoy regular live entertainment, including a concert with John Reid as Elvis, and it went down a treat. Residents, and even a few staff members, have been showing off their moves and creating beautiful memories together.

We held a silent disco, and while we weren’t sure how it would go down, it turned out to be a brilliant afternoon! Everyone had so much fun, and we can’t wait to have that amazing experience again.

We enjoyed our barge trips from Ratho and would like to thank the Seagull Trust charity for all they do to make our trips memorable. The journey provided residents with a serene experience along the Union Canal.

It is always our pleasure to be a part of our residents’ birthday celebrations especially when we marked such an amazing milestone for our lovely Christina on her 100th Birthday recently, we had a wonderful celebration party with cake, dancing, and fabulous entertainment form Kirk James, the sun shone all day and we even ended the party with a 'conga' led by the birthday queen! The Greenock Telegraph visited to chat with Christina on her milestone event and she was delighted to make the front page of the paper! Christina was overwhelmed and so grateful for the wonderful day that she had and the highlight of her day was receiving her Birthday Card from King Charles & Queen Camilla 🥰

Our Residents recently enjoyed a wonderful day out to Kirkintilloch on the Seagull Trust Cruises, which is a firm favourite here at Alt-Na-Craig House. We enjoyed a cruise West towards Bishopbriggs, the sun shone all day and we enjoyed our lunch of sandwiches, tea and lots of lovely cakes 🌞🍰

We recently took our residents away for a lovely outing to the Inverkip Chartroom for some afternoon tea. The picturesque setting combined with delightful treats made for a relaxing afternoon.

Additionally, we ventured to the Tail o' the Bank for another pleasant outing. These trips allow our residents to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and engage with the community, enriching their experiences.

Our residents were treated to a delightful homemade Chinese lunch right here at Alt-Na-Craig House. The aroma of freshly prepared dishes filled the air, creating an enticing atmosphere that our residents thoroughly enjoyed. The feedback was overwhelming, with many expressing how much they loved the flavours and the overall experience.

We are thrilled to announce the results of the recent Going for Gold Competition, which saw our wonderful residents competing with other care homes in Greenock. We are proud to share that our team secured a fantastic 3rd place! This achievement highlights the dedication and enthusiasm our residents displayed during the outdoor activities.

We love getting fresh air with the Silver Sneakers group, taking walks around the beautiful Battery Park with views across the Clyde.

On the days when the weather was nice, we were able to get out and about. We enjoyed going to Castle Semple for lunch and walks along the water's edge; it is a wonderful place to observe all the activities on the water and spot the abundant wildlife living at the loch.

Our garden is looking lovely; the Gardening Club has truly made it a place to treasure, and we have also had help from the children at St. Ninian's School. We have enjoyed some beautiful weather, allowing us to bask in the warmth of the sun as we spend more time outdoors. We are making the most of this season with a variety of activities and events that celebrate this lovely time of year.
