Today at Alt na Craig Care Home, we celebrated World Kindness Day in the loveliest way — by creating our very own Tree of Kindness 🌳💛

Residents took time to write down special words of kindness — messages of love, hope, friendship, and encouragement — and hung them proudly on our tree for everyone to see. 🌼

It’s a beautiful reminder that kindness grows when we share it. Each kind word, each gentle act, makes our home a brighter and happier place to be. 💕

Tonight’s entertainment, chosen by our residents, was another Christmas film! These festive movie nights are becoming really popular — the room fills with residents sharing memories, enjoying the atmosphere, and relaxing with wine and snacks.

This afternoon we enjoyed some fun and interactive games on the whiteboard. It’s a brilliant way to get everyone involved, and our residents had a great time!

On the days when the weather was nice, we were delighted to get out and about. We had a great time going to Cardwell Garden Centre for ice creams and walks around the gardens and shops. We are so lucky to have this facility in our local area.

Sunday afternoon’s shindig was a real treat! The Kansas Raiders came along to teach us a few line-dancing moves, and we can’t thank Hugh and his team enough for taking the time to visit. Our residents absolutely loved it — and a few even got up and joined in! A fantastic afternoon was had by all.”

We had a lovely morning being creative with Lucy from Mojo. Everyone enjoyed making a beautiful Remembrance poster together — a special way to reflect and remember. 🌺❤️

What an unbelievable night at Alt na Craig! 🎉
The dance floor was packed and full of smiles — glow sticks, light-up hairbands, great tunes and plenty of laughter all round! 💃🕺 Everyone tucked into tasty hot dogs, cosy hot chocolate and even a few cheeky hot toddies 🥃. We danced the night away to some old classics played by Alan Kane on the decks — what a night to remember! 🎶✨
