We are seeking a professional, caring, and conscientious individual to join
our local family-owned business on a flexible, as-needed basis.
~Funeral Service Operative (FSO)~
The role involves varied hours, including participation in our rota to
support Funeral Directors with our
Out of Hours' service.
Responsibilities include:
- Driving ceremonial vehicles on the day of the funeral
- Ensuring all company processes and procedures are followed meticulously
- Supporting the funeral director to ensure funerals run smoothly
- Maintaining our fleet and equipment to the highest standards
- Assisting with the transfer of loved ones into our care from hospitals,
care facilities, or their own home
- Preparing coffins according to our high standards
- Covering the 'out of hours' rota
The ideal candidate would be:
- Flexible with working hours
- Possibly retired and seeking additional income
- Passionate about exceeding clients' expectations
- Professional with excellent personal presentation
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Hold a full UK Driver's License (over 21 years old for insurance reasons)
Job Types: Zero-hour contract
