England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton was told she’d never make it as a professional athlete by doctors. Now, she’s one of the England Team’s heroes.

Hannah has an eye condition called strabismus, where eyes don’t look in the same direction as each other. She also has a lack of depth perception, meaning she finds it harder to judge distances.
She’s said it’s most noticeable when pouring drinks: “When pouring a glass of water, I’ll miss the glass if I’m not holding it.”

“It was always my passion to do sport and it was my dream. You’ve got to follow your dreams and, sat here right now, I can say that I’ve done that.”

💍✨Kirsty, our wonderful optician, had the most beautiful wedding in the Cyprus hills. The sun was shining, and love was in the air as they said 'I do'. 💒
After a lovely ceremony, they sipped on cool drinks and cocktails, feasted on tasty Cypriot dishes, and snapped amazing photos as the sun went down.
The party went on, with guests dancing the night away in honor of the happy couple! 💃🏽🕺🏽

🥇🏃🏻‍♀️Let's give a huge round of applause to our incredible Optometrist Lucy! She recently conquered the London marathon, and we couldn't be more proud of her achievement. 👏

In her own words, Lucy described the experience as “amazing," despite the challenges of the last mile or two. She highlighted the fantastic atmosphere and the inspiring sight of fellow runners from RNIB, some of whom were running with sight loss alongside their guides🏃🦮🏃🏻‍♂️

💪🏽Not only did Lucy showcase her strength and determination on the marathon course, but she also managed to raise an impressive £2105 for RNIB🌈💷🎽

Join us in cheering on Lucy, our talented optometrist, as she runs the 2025 TCS London Marathon in aid of Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), the Uk's leading sight loss charity and the largest community of blind and partially sighted people.
Everyday 250 people begin to lose their sight in the UK. Lucy's focus to help the RNIB create a world where there are no barriers to people with sight loss is truly inspiring.
