This is another star blanket I have made. These star blankets are my favourite blankets I've made so far I think. This one is slightly smaller being 5 by 5 squares, instead of 5 by 6 squares, but that's the joys of doing a blanket made of squares, is that you can make it whatever size needed! I just think this is so lovely and bright, and would look lovely in a nursery!

Sorry for the very long break since I last posted. Here are some more christmas orders I had for 2019. I only made 1 nativity scene this year, compared to 4 the last 2 years. It was nice to be able to actually enjoy making them and not be panicking about how many I still had to do! I've still got a few more Christmas orders to post on here and then it's on to new stuff I've been doing for myself !🧶

I have been working on these socks for a couple of weeks now as, because they are for myself, I only work on them for a little while every few nights. I have now finished 2 pairs of Tunisian crochet socks and I love the first pair and am so happy to have finished my second pair. I'm wanting to learn to knit specifically so that I can knit socks as there are so many more patterns for them! In the meantime tunisian crochet will do!

I am finished the book now. All through my chemotherapy I watched many DIY channels and craft channels and fell in love with the look of bookbinding after finding the YouTube channel sealemon. I obviously couldnt do book binding in hospital but as soon as I got a day or 2 out, I got old school jotters that I didnt finish and scrapbook paper and made myself a little jotter. These kits from 'learn bookbinding' that I mentioned in my last post make it so easy to make beautiful hard back books with their kits that come with everything in it. Crocheting will always be my main love but I really do enjoy trying out different crafts!📚🖌

Today I am putting the crocheting down for a little bit and I am making a book. I really love this bookbinding kit I got from learn bookbinding as it's easy to follow and you get such a lovely book at the end !📚 it's nice sometimes to try out different crafts and I love the book I made myself a few months ago. Today I went on a little day trip over to Dunoon to catch up with a family friend and spend the gift vouchers she gave me for Jinty and Baa Needlecrafts for my 21st birthday back in April. I could have spent all day there but managed to leave eventually with some stuff just for me and to hopefully start to learn to knit with. I have always loved learning new things which used to be with my studies but I love that I can continue with that by learning new craft techniques and different arts. I had a lovely day at Jinty and Baa and definitely will be back!!

I have been wanting to do a virus shawl for ages and finally I got round to making one last week for a family friend. I have used Stylecraft Batik Swirl in Blue Ocean to make this and think the colours work up beautifully! I have another ball of the same colour and 2 other colours so I'm definitely going to get on to making myself one soon!🧶

I feel like I have not posted anything for ages but I've been waiting for people to receive their crocheted items before posting them. Today this autumn wreath that I've been working on for a little while has been picked up. I think this is a lovely way to add a bit of decoration in the seasons that aren't Christmas as there isn't really anything in shops for them. Keep an eye out for a winter one coming soon!

These gifts I made for a new baby were handed over yesterday. I love making handmade gifts for babies and hope they grow up with them. I remember having knitted or crocheted blankets when I was younger that were made for me as a baby and then using them for my dolls and I just love the idea of these hopefully growing up with the babies I make them for.
