This lovely lady came to see me in the build up to a big event, wanting to know how we could best improve her skin in a short time-frame.

I first did a GlycanAge biological age test back in 2024 and was horrified with my results, as I hadn’t realised how unhealthy my immune system was at that time - at just 41 years old, my GlycanAge came back at a whopping 12years older at 53!! I had a detailed consultation with a GlycanAge specialist going through all the details of my test results to work out how I could improve things. I made several changes through diet, supplements, hormone replacement etc and was pleased when my last test 6months ago was down to 40 - at that time 2 years younger than my chronological age. It showed that the changes I had made had paid off. There is still room for improvement, and I know I now need to focus on incorporating more strength training into my regular routine.

Most of my patients come noticing changes in their external appearance, but this reflects what’s happening on the inside at a cellular level also, so it’s important to consider these change and try address the cause, not just treat the external signs.

It could be a time to start thinking about your long-term health, and one of the modern tools we have that can help us to assess this, is a biological age test - such as GlycanAge.

What a lovely half term break - a chance to breath in some mountain air, take in the beauty of nature, ski in fresh powder, have some indulgent lunches and treats out (because you can if you’ve been skiing right?!), along of course with spending some quality time with my family - both on the slopes and in cosy evenings in with board games, books and dinner.
I appreciate how lucky we were the weather this time (fresh snow aplenty mixed with sunny days) - a lovely winter reset ❄️😌
