While facial steaming can seem appealing, I almost never use it on a bare skin, especially for those with sensitive skin or certain conditions, as it can lead to dehydration, irritation, and potentially worsen conditions like rosacea or melasma. How do I use it then? Over plant enzyme mask or desincrustation gel! Heat activates protein digesting enzymes and softens sebaceous blockages making them ready for extraction.
