🎤 Speaker Spotlight: Karli Gibson — From Field to Function: Effective Return-to-Work Planning for Outdoor Professionals

We are very excited to welcome the amazing Karli Gibson to the ACPOHE Study Day 2025.

Her workshop, From Field to Function, will explore the complexities of return-to-work planning for outdoor professionals recovering from injury or illness.

Karli will guide us through the role of functional assessments, graded exposure to real work tasks and environments, and the power of collaborative communication between healthcare providers, employers, and workers in achieving sustainable outcomes.

As an Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Karli brings over a decade of experience in occupational health and a practice grounded in psychology-informed, person-centred care. Drawing from psychology, coaching, sociology, and even economics, she places lived experience, resilience, and self-efficacy at the heart of rehabilitation.

Karli helps individuals make sense of pain, rebuild confidence, and develop sustainable strategies to return to work in the real, demanding contexts of outdoor professions.

🕘 Don’t miss this thought-provoking and practical session in the afternoon.

Recruitment is tough so when you have great team members it is vital to have a team member retention strategy in place.

Most practitioners have received little or no management training making it feel very challenging to manage and motivate their team. Finding the right staff is becoming more and more challenging and practice owners often feel ill-equipped in the skill of retaining staff.
