Have a Safe & Sparkling Bonfire Night!

Bonfire Night is all about fun & fireworks ... but it’s also important to stay safe. 💥

Here are a few first aid tips in case of an accident:
🔥 Burns: Cool the area under cool running water for at least 20 minutes. Remove any jewellery or tight clothing near the burn, and cover with cling film.

🎆 Firework injuries: Always call 999 for serious burns or if clothing catches fire - remember STOP, DROP & ROLL.

💡 Top safety tip: Keep a bucket of water, sand, and a first aid kit nearby just in case.

Stay safe, have fun, and remember, a little first aid knowledge goes a long way! 🧠

🔥 National Burns Awareness Day 🔥

Today, we’re raising awareness about the importance of burn prevention and first aid for burns and scalds.
Every year, thousands of people especially children suffer burns that could have been prevented or treated more effectively with the right knowledge.

💡 Do you know the correct first aid for a burn?
🔹 Cool the burn under cool running water for 20 minutes
🔹 Remove clothing/jewellery near the burn (unless stuck)
🔹 Cover loosely with cling film or a clean dressing
🔹 Seek medical help if needed

Knowing how to respond quickly can make all the difference. At CPG training, we empower people with lifesaving first aid skills including how to treat burns safely and effectively.
