The monthly Affected Others Group is on this evening at The-Comeback.

This support is for anyone affected by a family member, friend or loved ones addiction.

The group is on 6pm to 8pm at 8 Abbey Walk, Grimsby. All are welcome 🤗

This weeks Workshop was learning how to 'Slow Stitch'. The group learn't how to practise different stitch styles and techniques and had fun making unique designs.

Monday 8th September 11am-4pm lunch included.

A chance to make some timber bug boxes to take home and place in your garden. Looking after our small invertebrate friends is important as lots of these are pollinators of flowers and predators of pests.

So come and 'Build a Bug Box' and support your local wildlife, meet new people and learn and share woodworking skills.

Free arts workshops we have coming up over the next couple of months hosted in Black Gull! To give you an idea of what to expect the details for the next workshop are below:

Caroline's workshop Sunday 7th September 11-4pm

Tales of the Docks through Papercraft

A creative craft session using basic line drawings and bold lines to sketch buildings to inspire the creation of mini 3D card buildings and fold out mini books to recreate our fabulous Docks.

Skills; basic sketching and line drawings, paperfolding, 3D designing, problem solving, stencilling, text and stamping.

Lunch is provided and if you're using public transport we can reimburse this if you bring us a receipt or ticket.

All the sessions can all be booked via makingacomeback.eventbrite.com or alternatively you can pop in to see us at the docks or send us a message.

Yesterday's trip out to Barton. We visited 'The Ropewalk' 'Waters Edge Nature Reserve' and had a windy stroll across to Hessle Foreshore for a spot of lunch via the Humber Bridge and back 😄

After a truly brilliant and very busy day on Saturday we are taking the team on a much deserved day out tomorrow (28th August) as a big thank you for the hard work and ongoing support.

This means that The Great Escape building, including Black Gull, will be closed. We will return to our routine scheduled activities with Breakfast Club on Friday morning.

Blue Door will be running a FREE sketchbook workshop at the Great Escape on Grimsby Docks 11am-4pm.

This workshop is open to the public, with all materials and lunch provided.
