๐Ÿ’ฅWe need your help and generosity๐Ÿ’ฅ

We are so very lucky to have found ourselves a new home (which we will share with you once we have moved and are settled) but for now we wonder if you (or any generous businesses) can help us out by taking a look at our wishlist of things we will need to get ourselves set up in our new home.

Any gifts bought, large or small will be very gratefully received so thank you in advance ๐Ÿด

We feel so very grateful (and a little emotional and overwhelmed) by the amount of things that have been bought off our wishlist.
We still have a way to go before we have all of the essentials needed to get on our feet so please keep sharing and talking about us and hopefully we will be sorted soon.
A huge thank you again to those that have already helped, you have made such a huge difference already ๐Ÿด

The 2025 Rulebook, released last January, states on page 27 that โ€œGloves are mandatory for leading equines, but recommended for riding.โ€ At the time of release, the wording around this was queried, and it was agreed that further clarification was needed, as the change from โ€œrecommendedโ€ to โ€œmandatoryโ€ had not been clearly communicated and did not fully reflect the nuances involved.

As a result of that feedback, the wording has now been updated for the 2026 Rulebook to read:
โ€œGloves are required for leading equines and recommended for riding. However, participants or volunteers who experience sensory discomfort with gloves may, following an appropriate risk assessment and with clear safety guidance, choose to lead without them.โ€

This revised wording is intended to both reinforce that leading with gloves is industry best practice, while also recognising the need for reasonable adjustments where appropriate.

In terms of RDA UK-produced or co-produced training materials, we are committed to following industry best practice. Therefore, all training video footage and photographs will depict leaders wearing gloves and hats when leading equines.
