Thursday 2nd April - Easter Egg Hunt in the morning then at 1.30pm singer Mary entertains 🐰
Friday 3rd April - 10.30am chair based exercises with Chris followed by Good Friday fish and chips 🐟
Saturday 4th April - Easter Reminiscence 🐰

Residents at Waltham House have enjoyed a wonderful couple of days! We were delighted to welcome Iris and her robotic animals, which brought plenty of smiles and laughter to everyone.

We also had a fantastic trip out to Holten Le-Clay Cricket Club for bingo and brunch. It was such a lovely morning — our residents did brilliantly, with lots of bingo winners! Prizes included free hot drinks, snacks, toiletries, and even £40!

There were plenty of laughs as we tried to keep up with the bingo caller, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch of chicken soup and a roll. The ladies and gentlemen at the cricket club made us feel incredibly welcome, and we’re already looking forward to making this a regular outing. 💰🔢

We had a lovely visit from Duggie and Macy over the weekend. These two African Grey parrots belong to one of our staff members, and you’ll be seeing them from time to time in their cage, which is set up next to the Summer House.

The residents really enjoy it whenever the parrots come to visit!

On St Patrick’s Day ☘️ our residents enjoyed a fun-filled and active day!

We started the morning with some planting, using the lovely pots we had already decorated 🌱 Then it was time to get moving with keep fit exercises and balloon games to Irish music 🎶

Residents also had the chance to taste a little Guinness — something not everyone had tried before, which made it extra special 🍺

The afternoon continued with a “Guess the Phrase” quiz, followed by Clive at Five, where everyone enjoyed reminiscing about ‘School Days’ 📚

A wonderful day full of laughter, activity, and great memories 💚

The sun lounge features special reminiscence areas, including a post office, sweet shop, and a nature lookout spot, designed to spark memories and encourage conversation and enjoyment. 🌞

Happy belated Mother’s Day to all of our wonderful residents and staff. 🌷

On Sunday we spent some time writing heartfelt letters to our heavenly mothers, sharing and reminiscing about many fond memories. These special letters have now been added to our residents’ scrapbooks as a lovely keepsake. 💌

We were also delighted to have the girls visit as part of their Duke of Edinburgh activities. They spent time playing games with our residents and hosted a fun Mother’s Day quiz, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. 🎲

This week we welcomed a Ukulele group to perform for our residents at Waltham House. Everyone really enjoyed the energy and entertainment they brought with them, and it was wonderful to see so many smiles and people joining in with the music.

Thank you to the group for such a lovely performance. We look forward to welcoming them back on a regular basis at Waltham House.
