Hi everyone we have had an update from Grimsby Crematorium

Just to let you know that we are expecting some essential works at the crematorium to take place shortly on both our building and the cremators. Unfortunately this will require a small shutdown period as detailed below:
We will not be able to accept bookings for services in the main chapel on the following dates: Friday 4th April – Monday 14th April 2025. Normal service times available from Tuesday 15th.
We will not be able to accept bookings for services in the Treasured Memories Chapel on the following dates: Friday 4th April – Wednesday 9th April 2025. Normal service times available from Thursday 10th.
The main chapel will them be closed every Monday and Friday till reopening fully on the 20th May 2025. The Treasured Memories chapel will be available on the Monday's and Fridays for Simple services and Delivery only services.

Official Press Release from Alexanders Funeral Care & Central Hall Grimsby

The Funeral of David and Cameron Walsh takes place on 2nd February 2024 at Central Hall, Duncombe St, Grimsby arranged by Alexanders Funeral Care, Carr Lane, Grimsby.

The Family of David and Cameron request there to be no media at the service, and it is requested that public attending take note of the restrictions and road closures in place.

The service will start at 12pm and it is requested that guests arrive early. Central Hall will be open from 10.30am for access. Officials and guests are asked to be seated by 11.30am.

Duncombe St and Wernerth Rd will be closed with access only until 11am, following this the two roads will be fully closed until after the service.

The Public carpark with access from Albion St, will be closed during the ceremony for parking of families and officials also re opening to the general public once the service has resided.

Any general public wishing to pay their respects, who cannot gain access to the limited seating within Central Hall, are asked to do so on the opposite side of the road and to please respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.

The roof works at the crematrorium are already causing large delays. We are now booking well into November. The roof works have been delayed in their starting. This means that the work has been extended into the new year. From the 7th November 2023, the crematorium will be extending their day by a further two slots (4:30pm and 5:15pm) on Tuesdays to Thursdays to try and ease the situation.
