Hi Dawn. I'm sorry but I owe you an apology. I have just realised that I didn't thank you properly at my wife Janet's funeral.
The address was beautiful. Many people commented on it. As my daughter said ,it
wasn't just reading it off a piece of paper. It was as if you knew her and the family personally.
Again I thank you for making a sad and difficult time that much easier.

Hi Dawn

Apologies for not thanking you in person on Wednesday, I would like to thank you now for the service and your assistance at such a difficult time. The eulogy and your presentation was impeccable, everybody commented on how it reflected my late mum’s personality so much. Its difficult to put into words how much it meant to me and everybody in attendance on Wednesday.

I had the great honour of being asked to read a eulogy for a special gentleman last Friday the famous Pete Penketh, because he was such a larger than life character I decided to write some committal words which were definitely out of the norm but were apt for Pete: Which I have shared below.

Pete it is with deep sadness we have gathered here today to bid you a final farewell, you may be gone but you will certainly never be forgotten, you have left behind a legacy of memories and stories to echo over the years to keep your memory alive. If you’re watching over, you would probably say:
I DON’T KNOW IF IVE GONE TO HEAVEN OR HELL??? WHEN WE LEAVE THIS EARTH NO-ONE CAN EVER TELL, BUT WHEREVER I AM YOU CAN GAURANTEE, THERE WILL BE LOTS OF LAUGHTER, AND HOPEFULLY THE BEER WILL BE FREE!! IVE GONE TO LOOK FOR LIFE ON MARS AND ZIGGY STARDUST TOO.
IM SURE ILL MEET UP WITH SOME PONTOON BOOT BOYS WHO MAY STILL WANT TO SETTLE A FEW SCORES. BUT WHEN THEY REALISE ITS PETE PENKETH KNOCKING ON THE DOOR THEY WILL RUN FOR THE HILLS OF THAT I CAN BE SURE. IVE LIVED MY LIFE AND DID IT MY WAY, YES IVE MADE SOME ENEMIES BUT ALSO GOOD FRIENDS ALONG THE WAY….IVE LIVED, IVE LAUGHED, IVE LOVED, IVE CRIED, AND WHO KNOWS I MIGHT COME BACK AND HAUNT YOU, AS ILL SOON BE A SPIRIT IN THE SKY. Wishing you fair winds and calm seas Pete wherever your next journey has taken you.

I just wanted to tell you..
I finally made it here.

I have heard about this place my whole life but I have to tell you…
beautiful is an understatement.

The views are absolutely stunning.

The colors..unreal.

I journeyed here alone but it doesn’t feel as such. So warm. So inviting. A reunion that was absolutely amazing. A feeling of comfort and complete fulfillment.

Truly at peace.

I am home.

And I have no reason to feel anything other than pure happiness.

And love. For you.

Know the tears you shed when you miss me are temporary.
The pain….only temporary.

For this home is yours too. I just got here ahead of you. That’s all.

Nobody ever knows when it’s their time to be called home.

So for now..

You just have more living to do. Take in those sunsets. Breathe in the crisp Autumn air. Taste the salt of the ocean. Listen to the rain as you fall asleep.

There is still joy to be had.

Tuck me into your heart. Move forward with our memories. Take those steps and picture me cheering you on.

And smiling when you smile.

I want nothing more than for you to smile.

Keep taking those steps. Oh I know they must be heavy some days. But..

For each day you get closer to my doorstep.

And the reunion will be amazing when I am among the first to..

Hi Dawn,

Just a quick note to thank you so much for the lovely service that you conducted for Patricia this morning.
The service struck just the right balance between what Patricia herself wanted and how family members wanted to "Say Goodbye" and everyone who attended said how much they enjoyed the service.
Val and I really appreciate what you did for us.
