Some of our reception team had the opportunity to visit the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) based in Freshney Place during our PLT session on Tuesday. It was really informative! We had a chance to see the X-ray and ultrasound rooms and got a good overview of how the CDC operates so that we can provide our patients with the best information on the background of the CDC possible. We all couldn’t believe the amount of space they have utilised. Thank you to the CDC team for having us!

We’re looking to start a Gardening Group at Scartho Medical Centre and would love to hear from anyone who might be interested in getting involved! 🌱

The group will help maintain the flower beds and plant pots in our courtyard, making it a welcoming and relaxing space for patients, staff, and visitors alike.

🕒 Time and date to be confirmed – we’re just seeing who might be interested at this stage.

If you enjoy being outdoors, working with plants, or just want to be part of something positive in the community, we’d love to have you join us! 💚

Also, if anyone has any spare plant pots they could donate, they would be very much appreciated.

This week is Cervical Screening Awareness Week.

Cervical cancer is the most common form of cancer in women under 35 with two women in the UK per day dying from the disease. Regular cervical screening appointments can prevent up to 75% of instances of cervical cancer, saving 5,000 lives per year.

Make sure you book an appointment if you are invited for your smear test (also called cervical screening).
