"I love that I’m making a difference in people’s lives. I never want to see anyone feeling alone or having no one to talk to all day. Sometimes I may be the only person they see or speak to that day.

I love working in care because I enjoy seeing the smiles on their faces in the mornings and knowing I’m making a difference to their day. I wouldn’t change my job for the world.

My clients make me just as happy to see them as they are to see me."

I looked after my mum since leaving school and when it come to having to find work care felt like the right choice.

I have tried a different career and after a few months come straight back to care full time.
I don’t see myself in any other job role now. Seeing the impact you can make on a persons daily life is what keeps me in the role.

Working in care is truly a career I never saw myself doing, due to the emotional and physical aspects of the role…

I have always had a big heart though and a sense of wanting to help people and better their lives in some way; But it wasn’t until I did a shadowing shift at the first company who gave me a chance in the sector, that when I saw someone so in need of help, companionship and just general support that I realised this was the best way to do it.

My Mum gave me the push I needed to get into the sector and give it a try during Covid, and now it’s a life long job. So I’m thankful for her for that because I couldn’t imagine my life any differently now.
