New Data. Same Risks. A Wake-Up Call for Every Workplace.
The latest HSE figures are in and while the headlines often focus on high-risk industries, the real takeaway is this: serious injuries and fatalities happen in every sector, including offices, schools, and hospitality.
🔸 124 work-related fatalities were recorded between April 2024 and March 2025
🔸 92 members of the public also lost their lives in workplace-related incidents
🔸 Leading causes like falls from height and struck-by incidents are risks that exist anywhere
And the threat doesn’t stop with accidents, mesothelioma, caused by asbestos exposure, still claims over 2,200 lives annually, especially in older buildings.
👉 Whether you manage a café, a classroom, or a corporate office, the message is clear: no environment is risk-free.
This isn’t about ticking compliance boxes, it’s about protecting people. Let this be the reminder we all need to reassess our safety culture, revisit risk assessments, and make sure public safety is part of the conversation.
