Elm Tree Aesthetics Limited is based within WE1 Studios, a historic building in Grimsby, close to the town centre with links to the A180. Our location was chosen due to it having undergone a full refurbishment, with outstanding cleanliness and professionalism at the heart. It provides our clients with the ultimate discretion due to its own secure gated carpark, CCTV and a private waiting area; with access to a superior coffee whilst you wait. Moreover, we fully understand the importance of being able to have your treatment and leave the premises encountering the fewest number of people as possible. Therefore, we avoided the town centre or a busy high-street and chose a location that had a very small number of visitors. We know waiting areas in aesthetics or salons can become a crowded place, which can be awkward, but this doesn’t happen at Elm. You may, if you arrive early to your appointment, be given your paperwork to complete in our own waiting area; if you are happy to do so. We try to avoid having clients sat outside with numbing cream on as we find this practice unprofessional. We can also guarantee if you ever see this at Elm, it's down to that client either being a model or one who has requested an express appointment beforehand. Additionally, payment and aftercare instructions are always delivered in our private clinic room, which ensures the ultimate privacy for our clients. Elm and its medical practitioners have a duty to strictly protect and maintain client confidentiality in all medical records, including photographs. Photographs are mandatory before and after treatment for insurance purposes. We would like to assure all our clients that the use of any images, on our social media sites or our Google page, has been authorised for use beforehand with written consent. Our clients' images are never inadvertently shared whether in clinic or online as we take your privacy and emotional and mental wellbeing seriously. If at any time you would like to withdraw your image, you can do so through sending us a message and the images will be removed immediately with no questions asked. Be assured that Elm is a professional clinic, that follows GDPR rules seriously, and looks after you from the moment you enquire to well beyond your treatment with us.

These lines in the photo are known as cheek lines. They develop over time with volume loss caused by smaller fat pads and the skin losing collagen and elastin.

The client's skin was in good condition, and these lines only appeared on expression, but they bothered her.

We used high-quality dermal fillers under the skin to reinforce it and prevent the lines from forming.

2, 200 women took part in a study and 63% of those women said that they wore makeup to hide blemishes.

Medical News Today (online) wrote that blemishes can include acne, blackheads, whiteheads, papules, pustules,
nodules, hyperpigmentation, sunspots and melasma.

In our clinic we see a lot of women who want to improve hyperpigmentation, sunspots, and melasma.

An option to treat this is a prescription medication called Tretinoin. It's a cream that is applied on an evening which contains vitamin A.

It works by encouraging rapid epidermal turnover, meaning skin releases dead cells faster than it otherwise would, to reveal a fresh, glowing complexion.

You can also see an improvement in the appearance of photoaged skin, such as fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin texture.

However, before you consider coming in for a consultation or adding Tretinoin to your skincare routine, it is vital that you do not use sunbeds and you protect your skin every day with an SPF 50 🙂

We occasionally hear the phrase: "My anti wrinkle treatment didn't work. I can still see lines in my forehead" by clients coming from another clinic.

We explain to all of our clients that anti-wrinkle treatment doesn't erase every line, otherwise we would be able to have one treatment for the first time in our 50's and all our lines would disappear!

The client pictured has a realistic approach to her forehead lines. She is on a skincare regime and is aware that she will need consistent anti-wrinkle treatments to make her forehead smooth.

It may take 12 months to see an 'impressive' result. In some cases, with deeper lines, it can take longer and may need other treatments such as peels or SkinPen microneedling 😊

Are your eyelids starting to change?

This is a natural part of skin ageing. As connective tissue weakens and skin loses elasticity, gravity begins to pull the skin downward, which can create a heavier appearance around the eyes 😔

Keeping it real 👀 Seventy Hyal

Having Seventy Hyal on the neck has some downtime, and clients usually prefer to go home after treatment.

These localised injection-point bumps generally settle by the morning, however they can take a few days to fully disperse.

Redness and some yellowish bruising can occur, so having time to allow for this is ideal.
