One of the biggest misconceptions in aesthetics is that filler is just filler.
In reality, there are different types of dermal filler, and choosing the right one is an important part of achieving a safe, balanced and natural-looking result.
Nurses do not simply select a product at random.
The choice depends on the treatment area, your anatomy, the level of support needed and the final result that is being aimed for.
Finer fillers are often used in more delicate areas or where a softer finish is needed. These can be useful where subtle hydration, light support or a very natural refinement is the goal.
Medium fillers are often chosen when a little more structure or contour is needed, while still keeping movement and softness.
Thicker fillers are generally used in areas that require more projection, lift or definition, such as where stronger structural support is needed.
Placement matters just as much as the product itself. A good result is not only about what is used, but where it is placed, how deeply it is placed, how much is used and whether the area is suitable in the first place. The same filler can create very different outcomes depending on technique, assessment and facial anatomy.
This is why treatment should always begin with a full consultation and facial assessment.
At Harper Aesthetics, product choice is tailored carefully to the individual, with safety, facial balance and natural results always at the centre of the treatment plan.
