Meet Karen, a member of the HMT St Hugh’s team since 1999.

This year, Karen will have served an impressive 26 years at St Hugh’s Hospital as an RGN.

Karen is currently working as a Senior Staff Nurse, and has worked at Nuffield Hospital in Woking and the Bromhead in Lincoln covering Coronary Care, Medicine and A&E.

Join our lower limb experts, Ricardo Pacheco and Nikhil Nanavati, The Yorkshire Foot Surgeon, at our free event at St Hugh's Hospital!

Mr Pacheco has been a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust since 2011. After schooling in Santander (Spain), he qualified from Cantabria University Medical School in 1994. The majority of his work consists of knee surgery and sports injuries of the lower limb. He commonly performs knee replacement (total and partial), revision knee surgery, patellofemoral surgery (knee cap) including replacement and stabilisation procedures, complex arthroscopic (keyhole) knee ligament reconstruction and meniscal repair, cartilage procedures and sports injuries surgery.

Mr Nanavati is a consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery. He is an expert in the generality of foot and ankle surgery with specialist skills in sporting injuries, keyhole surgery and complex deformity correction. He was a student at The Manchester Grammar School, studied medicine at Brighton/Sussex Medical School and completed his orthopaedic training on the Sheffield, South Yorkshire rotation.
